Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 2025-01-10
This Privacy Policy explains how Car Connect (“Car Connect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Car Connect in-car application (the “App”), which provides navigation, Apple Music integration, weather information, and phone calling via numpad and contacts. By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
No Account Required
The App does not require you to create an account or provide login credentials directly to Car Connect. We do not request your name, email address, or similar identifying data solely for using the core App features.

We may automatically collect certain technical information to ensure proper operation and security of the App, such as:
- Device type, operating system, system version, and model,
- Language and region settings,
- IP address (which may indicate approximate location),
- App version, performance metrics, and diagnostic data.
Apple  Weather Data & Attribution
The App uses weather data and forecasts provided by Apple  Weather. For more information about Apple  Weather data sources and legal attribution, please visit https://weatherkit.apple.com/legal-attribution.html .
Location Data (Navigation &  Weather)
With your permission, the App may use your device or vehicle location to:
- Provide turn-by-turn navigation and route suggestions,
- Display nearby routes, points of interest, or relevant map content,
- Show local and route-based weather information.

- Allow you to initiate calls using the numpad or contacts interface.
The App does not upload your contacts to unrelated third parties for marketing purposes. Call functionality is executed through your device or vehicle system; we do not listen to or record your calls.
Media Integration (Apple Music)
When you connect Apple Music or similar services, certain information may be processed to enable playback controls, such as:
- Playback status and basic track metadata (e.g., track title, artist, album),
- Session or integration tokens where required by the platform.
Your use of Apple Music is also governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
Usage and Analytics Data
We may collect anonymized or pseudonymized information about how you interact with the App, for example:
- Which features are used (navigation, calling, media control, weather),
- Frequency of use and general interaction patterns,
- Crash reports and performance metrics.
This data helps us improve stability, usability, and safety-related behavior of the App.
