Terms of Use

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Car Connect application (the “App”), designed for in-car use and providing features such as navigation, Apple Music integration, weather information, and phone calling via numpad and contacts. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

Use of the App

The App is intended to enhance the driving experience by offering integrated navigation, media control, and communication tools. You agree to use the App only for lawful and appropriate purposes and in compliance with all applicable traffic and safety laws.

  • Navigation features assist your driving but do not replace your responsibility to follow road signs, signals, and regulations.
  • Apple Music integration is for audio control; you must not interact with it in a way that distracts you from driving.
  • Weather information is provided for convenience and should not be your sole source for critical safety decisions.
  • Numpad dialing and contact-based calling must be used safely and legally, respecting local rules on phone use while driving.

The developer reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at their sole discretion in cases of misuse, abuse, or suspected illegal activity.

Driving Safety

You are fully responsible for your safety and the safety of others. Do not operate the App in a manner that may distract you or reduce your ability to drive safely. When needed, interact with the App only while the vehicle is stationary or through legally compliant hands-free systems. The developer is not responsible for accidents, violations, or damages arising from unsafe or illegal use of the App.

Accuracy of Information and Services

The App may display or use information from third-party services, including:

  • Maps, routing, and real-time or estimated traffic data,
  • Apple Music or other integrated audio services,
  • Weather forecasts and conditions,
  • Contact information obtained from your device or connected accounts.

While reasonable efforts are made to provide relevant and current information, the developer does not guarantee completeness, accuracy, reliability, or availability. Routes, traffic data, weather, and synced information may be incomplete, delayed, incorrect, or unavailable. Always exercise independent judgment.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Your use of the App and any decisions made based on its information or suggestions.
  • Compliance with all applicable road, traffic, privacy, and communication laws.
  • Ensuring safe, legal use of calling and media features while driving.

The developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages resulting from your use or misuse of the App.

Third-Party Services and Integrations

The App may integrate with services such as Apple Music, mapping providers, and communication platforms. Your use of these services is subject to the separate terms and policies of those providers. The developer does not control and is not responsible for the content, performance, outages, or data handling of third-party services.

Apple  Weather Data & Attribution

Privacy and Data Protection

The App may process limited data necessary to operate features such as navigation, audio control, diagnostics, and calling. Any collected information will be handled in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy and relevant laws and will not be sold or shared with unrelated third parties without your consent, except as required by law or as described in the Privacy Policy.

Access to Contacts and Calling Features

If you grant permission, the App may access your device contacts and telephony functions solely to:

  • Display contacts for quick selection inside the dashboard interface.
  • Enable calls via numpad or contact list through your device or connected system.

The App will not place calls or messages without your action. Contact data is used only to provide these features and is not used for unsolicited communication.

Intellectual Property

All content, visuals, software code, layout, trademarks, and logos in the App are the property of the developer or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, or otherwise exploit any part of the App without prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable law.

Termination of Access

The developer may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice. Access may be restricted or terminated if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful behavior.

Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption;
  • Incorrect or unavailable navigation, routing, or weather information;
  • Any malfunction, delay, or error caused by third-party services or networks;
  • Accidents, damages, or legal violations arising from use of the App while driving.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it.

Changes to the Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Updates become effective once made available within the App or related channels. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Data Updates and Corrections

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable laws. If you access the App through a vehicle OEM, corporate account, or third-party provider, certain requests may need to be directed to that provider.

Sale or Transfer of Business

In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, user information may be transferred to a successor entity, which will continue to protect the information in line with the then-applicable Privacy Policy.

Corporate Affiliates

The App may share information with its corporate affiliates for operational, security, and improvement purposes. All affiliates will process such information pursuant to the applicable Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, excluding its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of the App shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of competent courts, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

By installing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must uninstall and discontinue use of the App.

The App may provide links or interfaces to third-party websites, services, or content. The developer is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or policies of such third parties. Access and use of those services are at your own risk.
